Metlund hot water DMand Distribution Systems are the only hot water distribution system that saves both energy and water approved and tested by the US Dept. of Energy. DMand Systems are electronically controlled high performance Dmand Pumping Systems that moves hot water from the water heater only on the demand of the user to the fixtures. The electronic thermo sensor controls the rise of temperature, shutting off the pump once a rise of hot water arrives at the fixture. The thermo sensor prevents the pump from going back on once hot water is at the fixture. The system is easy to install on new homes, existing homes and commercial buildings. Metlund Systems have a FIVE YEAR Warranty and a life expectancy of 15 to 20 years. Metlund DMand Systems receive both LEED and Green Building credit points; chosen as ONE OF THE TOP TEN GREEN BUILDING PRODUCTS FOR 2003 by the Green Building Conference. Three DMand Systems are available to cover 500 sq. ft. to 40,000 sq ft. Activated by buttons, remotes, motion sensors and commercial flow switches. Over 500 builders option or standardize Metlund Systems in their homes. Metlund Systems are recognized and recommended by Utilities and Water Agencies throughout the US. Metlund DMand Systems save water, energy, reduces sewage processing, reduces air pollution and adds convenience to the user.

I purchased a Metlund Recirculating pump for our house in Palm Springs. The hot water heater is about 80 feet away from the master bath. I like the Metlund because its on demand and not running all the time. It takes 2 minutes for it to pull the hot water to the sink. Our savings on water in 1 month is about . That was 2 minutes of water running down the drain before I could take a shower. I also like the fact that we are wasting the least amount in hot water. So I don’t mind pushing a button, brushing my teeth and then taking my shower.

The bigger surprise was dealing with this American Company, The customer service was great, the kit came with copper fittings. When I called support they sent me over a prepaid box with the new fittings and I just mailed back the wrong fittings, the same happened when our sprinklers for the out side were tapped off the cold water in the bathroom. So the hotwater was being pulled though the pump. I paid for the upgrade to include a hard shutoff valve, they sent me the new one and I shipped back prepaid the old pump.

If all american companies could just to the same I would be a happy guy.

We installed a Metlund Hot Water Recirculating Pump on our home in Santa Rosa, CA.
We were on a well and septic system. Our hot water run from the hot water tank in the garage to the bathrooms were between 50 and 100 feet and our purpose in installing this product was to save water and time in getting hot water to our showers. We installed it with ease and used it for over 10 years with complete satisfaction. What a great product.
Thanks
