Adhesives frequently are an afterthought in the building process, which is unfortunate because the adhesive is frequently more potentially dangerous than the materials they are adhering. Always look for a low or no Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) adhesive.
Adhesives are found under many different names and brands, but the VOC laden ones share a common attribute, which is their high SB latex content. The VOCs are required to make the resin pliable and spreadable. Today there are many products on the market that have matched these same properties without the high VOC content. This is accomplished at the factory by changing the manufacturing process thus sparing the homeowner and builder unnecessary exposure to potentially dangerous chemicals.

The most efficient watering method available, drip irrigation, brings moisture directly to the plants that need water. Conventional sprinkler systems loose 30% to 70% of total water to evaporation and run-off, where drip irrigation minimizes water loss losing almost no water to evaporation.
